Which Instagram accounts work?

Instagram professional accounts (Business or Creator) whose posts are public. Personal accounts can’t use Meta’s messaging APIs, but you can switch to a professional account for free in the Instagram app.

How does keyword matching work?

Contains word: the keyword appears as a whole word anywhere in the comment. “LINK” matches “send me the link!” but not “linkedin”.
Exact comment: the comment is only the keyword. “LINK” matches “link!!” but not “link please”.
Matching ignores upper/lower case, punctuation and emoji, and works with non-Latin scripts such as Hindi.
If several automations on the same post match a comment, the oldest one replies. Each comment gets at most one reply.

Instagram’s rules

Meta allows one private reply per comment, sent within 7 days of the comment.
Follow-up messages are only possible after the person replies to you, within 24 hours of their reply.
Comments made by your own account are ignored.

What do the activity statuses mean?

Pending: the comment matched and the reply is queued or being retried.
Accepted by Meta: Instagram accepted the private reply. Instagram doesn’t report delivery or reads for private replies, so we never show “delivered”.
Skipped: the comment matched but wasn’t eligible, for example because it was older than 7 days or your monthly allowance was used up.
Failed: Instagram rejected the reply, or temporary errors continued after several retries. The error is shown in the activity log.

Disconnecting and deleting data

Disconnecting an account deletes its stored access token and pauses its automations. You can also remove ReplyLoop from Instagram under Settings → Apps and websites, which triggers our data deletion process. Deleting your account (Settings → Danger zone) permanently removes your workspace data and cancels any subscription.
